The Land
The soil at our place is up to 1,600,000,000 years old so we look after it and the whole environment in which the vineyard sits.
Just a few examples of how we care for our vineyard; using sheep to eat weeds and turn them into fertiliser, applying a tea made of seaweed and manures, use of predatory insects to eat pests and friendly fungi to destroy unfriendly rots. We also compost all of our leftovers (marc) each year and return the goodness to the vineyard.
All this takes a bit of work, but we think its worth it.
